"The Flower Girl" is a story about a young farm boy named Thomas, who is picked on and bullied at school for his different lifestyle. In his loneliness, Thomas finds solace in tending to his garden of lavender. The flowers are his only friends; they do not mock him, they do not judge him, they simply listen and are there for him.

Thomas' life is turned around when the love he feels for his flowers allows one of them manifest itself into the form of a young girl, who loves Thomas as much as he loves her.
